The students of M.Com I Sem and M.Com IV Sem organized a get-together party on 20/4/2022. The coordinators of the programme were Dr. V. N Dubey (Asso. Prof, Deptt. Of Commerce) and Mrs. Sakshi Choudhary (Asst. Prof, Deptt. Of Commerce). The students welcomed the faculty members and gave various performances such as song, dance, poetry recitation, etc. The students were very enthusiastic as they were all meeting after the long COVID break.

Symposium on Budget 2020 under the banner of SPARS & VOC dated 27 January, 2020 on the topic “Budget 2020: Expectations & Possibilities” on this occasion the students of B.Com and M.Com participated. They reiterated on this occasion and stated that expenditure on education is not very satisfactory and only 4% of GDP is spent on education. The participants were of the view that Government needs to focus more on education sector and should create more employment opportunities for the youth. Forty students participated in this program. The students were of the view that the expenditure on health and sanitation will be increased in this budget.

Summary: The online Quiz on COVID-19 Welfare Program was initiated by Department of Commerce under the banner of SPARS and VOC. The Quiz was based on the various programme launched by the Government for COVID-19. The quiz was an attempt to know about the awareness level of the people regarding the various measures taken by the Government. 747 students participated through Zoom Meeting.

Students of B.Com, M.Com, BBA, B. Tech and M.B.A students from different colleges and institutions from different parts of the country participated in the competition. Students from different colleges and institutions presented different business plans as start-up. Various models such as Consultancy Business Plan was presented by Student of Saheed Bhagat Singh College from DU, then Business model on Sanitizer Services was presented by the students of Sunbeam College for Women, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi, then Business Plan on Business Dealing of Four wheelers was presented by a student of DAV P. G. College, Varanasi, then Jhinga Machli start-up was also presented as Business model from Sunbeam College, Varanasi. 70 students participated in the webinar.

Topic of lecture: Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) Issues and Challenges. The students discussed on the topic “Self-Reliant India” Issues and Challenges and stated that during the Pandemic 2019, there is a need to focus on regional development. For this, the growth of MSME sector is very essential as it is the backbone of Indian Economy. 650 students participated in the online Quest competition.

COVID 19 vaccine and general awareness quiz was organized by department of commerce under the banner of SPARS and VOC on 20.06.2021 to 30.06.2021.The quiz was based on vaccination regarding COVID 19. All over India 300 students participated in this National Online Quiz.

National Online Business Plan Competition was organized by Department of commerce on 30.06.2021 and around 25 students participated in this competition and gave their business ideas regarding pure organic vegetables, the pet’s place, Indian green motor pvt. Lttd., blush events , doct mate, e café, easy to buy and Atmanirbhar edible oil.

A national webinar was organized by Department of Commerce on the topic Budget 2022: Expectations and Possibilities on 28 January, 2022. This programme was organized under the banner of SPARS and VOC. 19 students from different universities and colleges participated in it and presented their views. The eminent judges for the programme were Dr. Amit Manglani (Assistant Professor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur), Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Tiwari (Assistant Professor, CMP Degree College, affiliated to Allahabad Central University) and      Dr. Munshiram Assistant Professor, NEHU, Meghalaya, A Central University). Anand Pranav of DAV PG College stood the first position in the competition and stated that 2.5% of the budgeted fund should be allocated to health sector and focus should be given to MSME sector so that more employment opportunities are given. Dr. Anand Singh, the coordinator of the programme, conducted the proceedings and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Taru Singh.
